The Pittsburgh Steelers are now in the regular season swing of things, back home in Pittsburgh after three weeks in Latrobe.
The end of another camp is always a reflection time for those involved with the team.
So here's who left the past month with glowing reviews:
Matt Canada
No this is not the wrong article. Matt Canada does in fact leave camp as a clear winner. There was much more of an emphasis to stretch the field, and that has shown in the preseason as well, where the Steelers' first-team offense scored every time they touched the field thus far.
Still on thin ice with many in the greater Pittsburgh area, Canada will have to keep it up in the regular season.
Kenny Pickett
In his second season with the Steelers, quarterback Kenny Pickett needed to show he was in better command this training camp, something he did in droves.
Pickett finished camp with an absurd line of 61.5% completion percentage, 22 touchdowns, and only one interception.
He has looked calm, poised, and stronger both in and out of the pocket, leaving Steelers' fans optimistic for the 2023 regular season:
Wide Receivers
The Steelers wideouts were all stellar in unique ways this camp. Diontae Johnson looked motivated to bounce back from his touchdown woes, George Pickens made a highlight-worthy catch every practice, Allen Robinson is proving to be a reliable third-down target, and Calvin Austin's speed has been unguardable in both camp and preseason competition.
A group of weapons that most teams wish they had, if the Steelers stumble, it won't be because of these four.
Guards
While the offensive line as a whole has been meh, credit should go to James Daniels and Isaac Seumalo for being dominant. These two have been hogs in the run game, uprooting defenders and creating lanes for their running backs:
Pass Rushers
Easily the best position group in Pittsburgh, the Steelers' pass rush rotation of Watt, Highsmith, Herbig, and Golden is going to make life a living hell on offensive lines this year.
Don't believe me, ask Pittsburgh's tackles.
