The New England Patriots are clearly looking to add some talent to one of the biggest problem areas on the team.

According to Jordan Schultz, the Patriots have traded a sixth-round pick to the Minnesota Vikings for offensive lineman Vederian Lowe.

This is the second offensive linemen New England traded for on Sunday, also acquiring offensive tackle Tyrone Wheatley Jr. from the Cleveland Browns in exchange for running back Pierre Strong Jr.

Lowe was a sixth-round pick out of Illinois in 2022, playing in four games as a rookie for the Vikings. He finished his first season allowing two sacks in 140 snaps.

Throughout the preseason it was clear that the Patriots had significant issues on the offensive line, with all quarterbacks scrambling at times in the pocket. While they have some key players, injuries have plagued the group.

So the Patriots are hoping the 6-foot-6, 320 pound tackle can help solve some of those problems.

Sunday was a busy day for the Patriots, making two trades along with cutting 11 players. For a full list of the roster cuts, click here.
