The New Orleans Saints continue to monitor rookie running back Kendre Miller's status for Week 1 against the Tennessee Titans.

Since he sustained the newest injury, many folks have described it as a knee injury. There's been clarification since then, and the Saints made that clear on their official injury report for the NFL, too. New Orleans lists Miller with a hamstring injury – rather than a knee.

The Saints and the media most likely were not purposefully lying about his type of injury. It could have been described a leg injury that could be a knee issue. Dennis Allen never specified, but now we know.

For the Saints, it is good news. An injury is never positive, but a hamstring issue can often be a shorter-term injury than a knee problem. With a knee, you have to worry about potential tears to the ACL, MCL, etc. that can force a player to miss an entire season.

For Miller, the Saints sound positive about his long-term outlook for this season, but this week is still an unknown.

Check back for more updates regarding the rookie's status for Sunday's game against the Titans.
