The Buffalo Bills continue to get good news about Micah Hyde ahead of their season opener on Monday night.
Hyde was originally expected to be sidelined from practice on Wednesday due to a back injury, but was later seen by reporters on the field and with the team.
The Athletic's Joe Buscaglia reports that Hyde spoke with reporters on Thursday after having limited participation during Thursday.
“I feel great,” Hyde said (via Buscaglia). “I’ve still got a few more days until Monday, so I’m good.”
The Bills are ready to have Hyde back in the lineup after the safety was sidelined last year due to a neck injury he suffered in Week 2, being placed on injured reserve shortly after.
Hyde had his best season in 2021, finishing with 74 total tackles, one sack, one forced fumble, two fumble recovery, five interceptions, and one interception.
Across his 10 seasons in the NFL, beginning his career with the Green Bay Packers, Hyde has a total of 590 tackles, five sacks, four forced fumbles, six fumble recoveries, 22 interceptions, and one touchdown.
The Bills will begin the season on Monday night with a 8:15 p.m. matchup at MetLife Stadium against Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets.
Hopefully Hyde will be out on the field to help stop a strong Jets offense.
