Detroit Lions' quarterback Jared Goff already made one move in the NFL record books tonight when he passed Saints' quarterback Derek Carr in the record books for fourth most consecutive passes without an interception in NFL history.
Goff threw 35 passes in the win over the Chiefs, that moved him into third place where he passes the Patriots version of Tom Brady in the record books.
The next step now is to pass the Buccaneers version of Tom Brady and then the next and final step is trying to pass Aaron Rodgers for the number one spot.
This is a pretty big deal. For example, the longest streak that Matthew Stafford ever had was 188 back in 2018 and 2019.
At this rate, if Goff is going to break Aaron Rodgers record, he might have to wait until early on in Week 3 against the Falcons. That is unless he throws the ball well over 40 times against the Seahawks. He has thrown 40 plus times in a game 24 times in his career. Only six of those times happened with the Lions
