who would have thought? Seriously, who would have thought? IT wasn't long ago that Detroit Lions defensive back Will Harris kept Lions fans up at night with his coverage. He has some real problems out there during the Matt Patricia era. Harris' goose was regularly cooked.

These days things are so much different. Harris has become a big part of this team due to his reliability and his leadership. These days he's helping people sleep at night. Specifically Lions head coach Dan Campbell.

I'm not saying that Harris is coming to Campbell's house at night and tucking him in before turning on his noise machine and giving him a melatonin gummy ands switching off the lights. That would all be very nice, but it's Harris' play and reliability that's really doing the trick. I'll just let Campbell explain.

"I love will Harris. I do." Campbell said. "And because he is, he's a pro. He's a pro. He's a vet. You don't have to worry about Will. Will's gonna be where he's supposed to be, when he's supposed to be there. He's a four core guy for us. He's played safety, he can play nickel, he can play outside corner and he's just steady and reliable. He's dependable man. He's always going to be there for you. And that's, that's one of the biggest reasons you know that, that helps,  guys like him help you sleep good at night."

It's just such a major change from what the early perception of Harris was that you almost can't believe it. You almost get whiplash from it. It really says a lot about the coaching staff that a guy that everyone universally said should be gone not long ago is now a guy that everyone is glad is here. Aaron Glenn and company were really able to help Harris realize his full potential.

Harris will continue to be a big part of this Lions team going into a big year due to that reliability that he brings. He's not going to be the guy that leads the league in interceptions and he's more than likely not going to have a highlight lead Sportscenter, but he will be out there where the ball is and he will be giving it his all. Can you really ask for anything more?
