The Las Vegas Raiders may very well have one of the deepest receiver rooms in the entire league. So, it's fair to say that when it's time to cut down from 90 to 53, their work will be cut out for them.

Every receiver on the roster is capable of being on a 53-man roster almost anywhere else. However, one of their more recent moves allows the Raiders to have a little more breathing space when it comes to the wideouts on the roster.

Per KPRC2's Aaron Wilson, the team reached an injury settlement with wide receiver D.J. Turner, which allowed the two parties to go their separate ways.

According to ESPN's transaction wire for the Raiders, Turner was placed on IR with an undisclosed injury Sunday, August 13.

This is how injury settlements work in the NFL: When a player/team agrees on a settlement, they price out the number of games the player would have missed while on IR. So, if both parties agree a player would've missed eight games, the franchise will cut him a check for 8/17ths of the player's base salary for that season.

It's unknown what the agreement holds, but per Spotrac, Turner was slated to make $450k in 2023. Using the above hypothetical, Turner walked away with $211,764.71 in his pocket.

The Raiders receiver room now consists of Davante Adams, Hunter Renfrow, Jakobi Meyers, Tre Tucker, Phillip Dorsett, Cam Sims, Deandre Carter, Isaiah Zuber, Chris Lacy, and Kristian Wilkerson.
