The Las Vegas Raider's new cornerback Marcus Peters just said something that every Raiders fan would be able to connect with.
On Monday, the Raiders worked out two cornerbacks; by the end of the day, they had decided they had seen enough and signed Marcus Peters, the former All-Pro cornerback.
The Raiders needed help in the secondary, as it's their worst position group on the team. Peters can help with that with his leadership, experience, and skill.
After signing his contract, he said something that will not only pump up Raiders fans but make them connect with Peters.
"Just win, baby," Peters said while signing his contract. "That's the only message I have for y'all. Let's do it. We have to up the standard, and the standard is going to be set."
The 30-year-old is from Oakland, California, and likely grew up a Raiders fan. He saw the glory days of the defense being one of the more elite units every year. The Silver and Black were about being tough, hitting hard, and winning football games.
It hasn't been like that in a while, but then again, that's why Peters is there.
