The Green Bay Packers defense has all the potential in the world to be a very good unit and a lot of that stems from their pass rush.

And said pass rush received a major boost with the return of Rashan Gary on Monday.

Granted, Gary isn't anywhere close to going full-speed in drills and the Packers are going to be very cautious when it comes to easing him back in. It's unclear as to whether or not they're going to take David Bakhtiari-levels of caution, but they'll certainly be careful when it comes to one of their best player's practice regimen.

Regardless, Gary joined his teammates out on the field Monday. Most notably, his partner-in-crime, Preston Smith. It was the first time the duo has been together on a football field (in practice or game fashion) since Gary tore his ACL in early November.

Smith and Gary represent one of the NFL's best pass rushing duos, so it's great to see them finally back on the field together. With Smith breaking the weird even-years-curse that has followed him up until last year, the two are on track to make some big plays together in 2023.
