Seahawks fans are as used to big personalities as almost any fanbase in the NFL. The past few decades have brought some extremely recognizable faces to the limelight in a Seattle uniform, and the current iteration of the team is no different.
As it stands, wide receiver DK Metcalf is probably the biggest name on that roster, and it doesn't take long to see why so many fans across the league know his name.
Between his insane size and athleticism, his penchant for big plays, and yes, a few outbursts, Metcalf has a way of taking over when it comes to storylines in Seahawks games.
The big, jaw-dropping plays are common, but so too are the moments that make Seattle fans groan as the yellow flags hit the field for a silly penalty by Metcalf.
Metcalf has a big personality. That much is good for getting fans to love you, but it also draws a certain level of attention from players on other teams and referees.
Because of this, JustGamblers was able to conclude that DK Metcalf is the worst-behaved player in the NFL based on total fines and infractions over the past three years ($88,591 from seven infractions). Infractions are defined as flags that are based on things like taunting, personal fouls, etc.
Now, what does this really mean?
In truth, this isn't much for Hawks fans to lose much sleep over. Metcalf is still one of the most talented players in the league and has done very well to maintain despite offensive changes over the past few years.
What most people tend to forget with lists and rankings like this is that a large number of these guys play with chips on their shoulders. It is easy to get carried away and do something silly at such a high level with constant intensity.
If the issues were something more egregious, that would be one thing, but a guy like Metcalf taunting and talking trash when he backs it up shouldn't concern anyone too much.
