The Denver Broncos are about to be playing NFL football, hopefully wiping the bad taste out of fans' mouths after the horrendous effort by the team last season.
Sean Payton was brought in to turn things around and we will very soon get to see the beginnings of his new regime. Russell Wilson has been dominating camp recently, despite some key issues plaguing the time.
With that being said, here's everything you need to know about the upcoming preseason game.
Denver Broncos (0-0) at Arizona Cardinals (0-0)
Date: Friday, August 11th
Time: 10pm ET
Location: State Farm Stadium
Betting odds: Cardinals +2, Broncos -2
Money line: Cardinals +105, Broncos -125
Streaming: 9News, NFL Network
Will the Broncos play the starters?
Sean Payton openly revealed months ago that the starters would be playing. Payton took a jab at the previous regime and their decision to do the opposite.
While it's unclear whether Wilson and the key players will get substantial playing time, expect to see them in action.
Who is going to win the battle for kicker?
The team has been busy this offseason with the kicker position. After releasing franchise legend Brandon McManus, the team made a slew of roster moves at the kicker position.
3 players to watch
- RB Jaleel McGlaughlin: The undrafted rookie has been making noise at camp, despite falling on the unofficial depth chart. McGlaughlin will use these preseason games to force the organization's hand to keep him on the roster.
- TE Greg Dulcich: Dulcich was one of the lone bright spots last season which made the unofficial depth chart even more surprising when TE Adam Trautman was listed before him. Look for Dulcich to do whatever he can to try and claw his way back to TE1.
- DL Zach Allen: It's a homecoming of sorts for the newly acquired Broncos pass rusher. Playing the past few seasons with the Cardinals, Allen will look to make a difference despite it being just a preseason contest.
