The Kansas City Chiefs will officially not be having Mecole Hardman back in 2023, as sad as it sounds.

Per Ian Rapoport, the New York Jets are giving the former Chiefs receiver a one-year deal, as the numbers come out as giving him a chance to make $6.5 million in 2023.

For the Jets, they may have gotten a steal. For the Chiefs, they are losing yet another receiver and a versatile one at that.

In 2022, Hardman played just eight games as he dealt with a few different injuries, which is likely why the Jets gave him the money they did.

In Week 12 against the San Francisco 49ers, Hardman showed exactly what he can be as he scored two rushing touchdowns on end around plays and one receiving touchdown. He is fast, and he is versatile.

But that still leaves the question of who will be the Chiefs' wide receiver one, and who will be in their receiver room in general. If the Chiefs want a chance at a repeat Super Bowl, they need to figure it out rather quickly.
