The Tennessee Vols are set to take on the Florida Atlantic Owls on Thursday night in the Sweet 16.
Tennessee has been one of the most talked about teams left in the tournament over the last week thanks to the physical brand of basketball the Vols play.
UT has been playing tough physical defense all season. But for some reason, the national media didn't notice until the Vols' win against Duke last weekend (I guess that tells you how much they paid attention to Tennessee this season).
Various members of the national media have taken shots at the Vols this week for the way they played against Duke.
And on Thursday, one of those national media members, Fox Sports' Doug Gottlieb, got in one more shot at Tennessee before Thursday night's showdown with FAU.
Gottlieb sent a tweet that showed some random sport that involves a lot of tackling and compared it to Tennessee basketball.
The takeaway after watching the Vols play basketball should be how hard they play and how they actually play defense, a lost art at times.
But instead, folks like Gottlieb are content taking shots at Tennessee. If this were North Carolina or Duke playing this style of basketball, you best believe it would be nothing but praise from the national media.
