It's getting to the point that people may think that someone other than Jerry Jones and his son Stephen is making decisions for the Dallas Cowboys.

To say that they've done a good job inking deals over the past week is an understatement. Now, it has continued with edge rusher Takk McKinley.

The details of his deal, which was reported on Wednesday, have come to light via Todd Archer of ESPN.

McKinley's deal is a veteran salary benefit contract. That allows a player to sign a one-year contract with the applicable minimum salary based on a player's time in the league which also includes a small signing bonus.

It's a one-year deal for $1.317 million with a base salary of $1.165 million and a signing bonus of $152,500.

McKinley was signed to the Cowboys practice squad last November. He was elevated to the active roster for one game but didn't take a snap.

With McKinley's deal, the Cowboys again give another player a minimal salary with low guaranteed money. So, a serious tip of the hat needs to go to the Cowboys' front office for their business dealings as of late.
