The Denver Broncos have been a team that has dealt with injuries for several years now. It seems like they always lead the league in the one category no one wants to – players on the injured reserve list.

Even this year the team dealt with more injuries than any other team. They had key guys on the IR list it seemed like every week. It wasn't the reason the Broncos struggled so much, but it definitely was a big reason why.

We recently figured out that Russell Wilson was dealing with an injury for over a year. Now, we are figuring out that K.J. Hamler is had surgery done on his pec area, and that he could be out for some time.

Per Tom Pelissero, Hamler underwent surgery after suffering a partially torn pec while training on his own. The timeline is four to six months, which would allow Hamler to be ready just before training camp.

One sports doctor, Jesse Morse, who claims he has an MD, MBA, and is a Sports Medicine Physician specializing in Regenerative medicine, gave an assessment of what it could look like when Hamler returns from the injury.

"This is an unfortunate injury, and he may struggle early in camp with the decreased range of motion secondary to the scar tissue & adhesions from the pec repair. He will have to work through that in addition to a TON of other things he’s dealt with over the past 2 years."

It sounds like we can expect Hamler to need time to get back to his normal self, which isn't great. Hamler has been through so much since his professional career started. This is just another setback. Hopefully, he has a full recovery.
