Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin is eyeing a comeback to the NFL.

Just a few months ago, Hamlin needed to be resuscitated on the field after suffering a reported cardiac arrest against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Some quick thinking from Bills assistant athletic trainer, Denny Kellington, was part of the reason Hamlin was able to survive the traumatic injury.

Since then, it seems the entire world has been keeping tabs on Hamlin and his road to recovery.

From face-timing teammates, secretly making his way to a playoff game, and being given the green light from a doctor on his NFL return, Hamlin has continued to defy the odds every step of the way. The Bills safety nearly lost his life on the football field which would be enough for many to turn away from the game forever, but not Damar.

On his birthday, Hamlin posted an incredible update on his health with a special message for the world. Needless to say, it quickly went viral.

Hamlin shared a few images documenting how hard he has been working to make it back to the NFL. The Bills safety expressed his gratitude for everyone who has helped him along the way, discussing what his purpose is and how precious he views life in general.

In just a few words, Hamlin was able to convey a powerful, heartfelt message: "Life is a precious gift."

In yet another surprising move, Hamlin was given another NFL update earlier this week. Damar Hamlin is the odds-on favorite to win NFL comeback player of the year.

Bills Mafia cannot wait to see Hamlin back on the football field. All signs are pointing for that happening sooner, rather than later.
