Eagles: Ike Reese talks C.J. Gardner-Johnson's bad social media habits
One former Eagles player had a lot to say about what safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson has been doing on social media
The Philadelphia Eagles have had some players in some drama as of late. Of course, we saw the stuff that happened after the Super Bowl with JuJu Smith-Schuster, A.J. Brown, James Bradberry, and C.J. Gardner-Johnson all interacting with each other on Twitter.
Sure, someone needed to tell Smith-Schuster he was out of line. But, the drama still just keeps coming on both sides.
And there was a whole other situation with Gardner-Johnson on Twitter that you may have also seen
Someone tweeted that Jonathan Gannon was asked about what went wrong during the Super Bowl in terms of the defensive breakdown. Gannon answered the question the best way he felt he could have.
"Yeah, you know, they made a lot of good plays in that second half," Gannon said at the NFL Draft Combine. "We weren't able to get some stops when we needed to. I obviously could have done a better job of coaching a couple of things that I went out of the call, so tough to swallow when you look back at that because it's such a big stage and we didn't get it done… but I learned a lot from it, and, you know, you got to give credit to Kansas City, but obviously I could have done a lot better job with what we were doing."
But, it would appear that Gardner-Johnson didn't like Gannon's response, and should have said something else instead.
One former Eagles player, and radio personality in Philadelphia, Ike Reese saw the Tweet and didn't like it too much. In fact, he thinks Gardner-Johnson should watch what he tweets.
The former Eagles linebacker played in Philly for seven years, so if there is anything Reese knows, it's how to handle yourself in the Philadelphia sports market. He made all great points too. I would suggest Gardner-Johnson start taking his advice.
