The Kansas City Chiefs just confirmed a suspicion that most of us already knew.
With Eric Bieniemy leaving to prove himself in Washington as the offensive coordinator and play caller, with the assistant head coach title, of course, there was a spot to be filled on the Chiefs Super Bowl-winning coaching staff.
Matt Nagy the former Bears head coach, came back to the Chiefs last season as the quarterback coach, and as of Friday, per the Chiefs' Twitter account, he was promoted to offensive coordinator.
Nagy had the role in 2017 before getting the job with the Bears. When he was on the sideline, he was also not calling plays, yet the Chiefs were seventh in points per game at 25.6 with Alex Smith at QB.
A lot of people won't like this promotion, but I think it's perfect.
