NFL Draft season is ramping up with the NFL Scouting Combine taking place this upcoming week. That means the Dallas Cowboys will be diving into their scouting reports as the team looks to make key upgrades on the roster.

Cornerback is largely considered among the biggest team needs for the Cowboys. Da'Ron Bland emerged as a rookie, but Dallas needs more talent opposite of Trevon Diggs. It is likely that the Cowboys use all avenues to address the area of concern.

It just so happens that the 2023 NFL Draft class appears to be loaded at corner. Several defensive backs are generating first-round hype. That means that there should plenty of talent for the Cowboys to choose from in April, if that is the route that they opt to take.

In fact, that is where one mock draft has the Cowboys going. Jon Machota of The Athletic sees Dallas adding a championship-level prospect to the roster in April: Kelee Ringo out of Georgia.

Ringo won two national titles at Georgia and was a key factor in the Bulldogs reaching the top of the college football world. He made 76 tackles and grabbed four interceptions over two seasons in Athens.

Furthermore, one of those two interceptions clinched the title during the 2021 season.

"Kelee Ringo would give the Cowboys an outstanding young trio of starting cornerbacks, pairing him with Trevon Diggs and DaRon Bland," wrote Machota. "Ringo would immediately step in and bring ideal size (6-2, 210) and athleticism to what should be a strong defensive backfield in Dallas."

Ringo would fill an immediate need while bringing a championship mindset to the Dallas Cowboys. He is definitely a prospect that will be in consideration for the first-round.
