Tennessee Vols baseball received some much-needed good news on Monday afternoon.

Transfer shortstop Maui Ahuna has finally been ruled eligible by the NCAA.

Ahuna, who transferred to Tennessee from Kansas after the 2022 season, missed the Vols' first eight games of the season as UT awaited guidance from the NCAA.

The Hawaii native was reportedly unable to play due to Tennessee booking a flight for him before they had received his transcripts.

Ahuna will be able to make his Vols debut on Tuesday at 4:30 PM ET when Tennessee hosts Charleston Southern in a midweek matchup. The game can be streamed on the ESPN Plus app.

The addition of Ahuna to the lineup instantly gives the Vols some important depth.

Austen Jaslove did a solid job while filling in for Ahuna, hitting .263 with six RBIs and five runs scored over the first eight games of the season.

Jaslove committed just one error while filling in at shortstop to start the season.
