CBS Sports thinks the Kansas City Chiefs could be the team that finally signs a polarizing wide receiver this offseason.

The Chiefs could use a wide receiver this offseason due to the expected loss of wide receivers JuJu Smith-Schuster and Mecole Hardman.

To combat those losses, CBS Sports is predicting that Kansas City will sign free-agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.

From CBS Sports:

The rich get richer. Beckham's market is unpredictable considering his injury history, but at full speed, he's still a legit weapon as a route-runner and downfield threat. K.C., meanwhile, may have something spicy in Kadarius Toney but can never have enough toys for Patrick Mahomes and Co., especially with JuJu Smith-Schuster heading elsewhere in this exercise.

This would certainly be a good move for Beckham — what better way to reestablish himself in the NFL than playing with Patrick Mahomes?

But I'm not sure it's the best move for the Chiefs.

Beckham, who turned 30 this past November, was already declining before his torn ACL in Super Bowl LVI. After missing all of last season, it's anyone's guess as to what kind of player the Chiefs would be getting if they signed OBJ.

I can't see OBJ signing anywhere for a discount. Kansas City would probably be wise to consider re-signing Smith-Schuster over signing Beckham.
