The Buffalo Bills' former RB1 has a new home.

Singletary will look to make an immediate impact on the Texans by teaming up with Dameon Pierce. During his tenure in Buffalo, Singletary accounted for 3,151 yards and 16 rushing touchdowns. The 2019 third-round pick from FAU quickly established himself upon his arrival in Buffalo. With the news of his departure, Buffalo may be acting under the impression that their future RB1 is on the roster.

If they aren't, maybe they should be. Last year, Buffalo drafted James Cook which immediately ignited the Bills Mafia. The Georgia star is a pass-catching back who has the ability to turn any routine handoff or screen pass into a touchdown. Something Josh Allen and the Bills offense were desperately looking for.

The under-the-radar back was more than efficient on the ground. In fact, with just 11 more carries James Cook would've led the entire NFL in YPC last season, as a rookie.

Unfortunately, the perceived "kid-glove" approach McDermott and company took with some of the rookies didn't allow fans to see some of the rookies' true potential. When given an opportunity, Cook ran away with it, no pun intended.

Next season is going to be a monster one for James Cook as it appears the backfield is now his to lose. That is, of course, unless Brandon Beane shocks the world and drafts Bijan Robinson at number 27 overall.

If that happens, buckle up.
