The Denver Broncos kicked off the legal tampering or negotiating period, by making a move with starting punter Corliss Waitman.

Per Doug Kyed of A to Z Sports, the Broncos placed a tender on the exclusive rights free agent on Monday. The team had until 4pm ET on Wednesday, March 15 to do so.

ERFAs are unable to negotiate with other teams. The aforementioned tender is a qualifying offer that represents a one-year contract at the league minimum salary based on the player's experience level,.

Waitman has two accrued seasons under his belt, which means he is slated to make $940k in 2023. If he accepts the tender, of course.

Waitman started all 17 games last season as the Broncos' punter and his 96 punts led the NFL. He managed a pretty decent 41.5 net average, as a result.
