The Houston Texans have kept themselves very busy on the opening day of the NFL's free agency window. They've added multiple players on offense and defense, including the latest addition.

The Texans are signing DT Hassan Ridgeway to a one-year deal, according to Aaron Wilson.

Per the Texans insider, the deal is worth $4 million with $3 million fully guaranteed.

Ridgeway has officially reached journeyman status. The Texans will be his fourth stop in the NFL since his career started as a fourth-round pick with the Indianapolis Colts. He's also spent time with the Philadelphia Eagles and the San Francisco 49ers.

Ridgeway's 2022 season came to an end due to a season-ending injury (pec strain). The injury came at an unfortunate time as it kept Ridgeway from adding more to his career-high seven starts.

With this move, the Texans are betting on a bounce back from DeMeco Ryans' old player.

The 28-year-old veteran joins a position group that includes Thomas Booker, Maliek Collins, Kurt Hinish, Roy Lopez, and Taylor Stallworth.

In his seven years in the league, Ridgeway has played 77 games and racked up 108 tackles, 16 tackles for loss, and 10.5 sacks.
