The Dallas Cowboys have brought back former first-round pick, linebacker Leighton Vander Esch, on a two-year deal.

Full details of his contract have been revealed.

It's a two-year deal for $8 million with a $2.5 million signing bonus, $5 million in guaranteed money, and up to $2 million in incentives. Vander Esch has $29,411 per game roster bonuses that total $1 million.

Here's a breakdown of Vander Esch's base salary and cap hits via Doug Kyed of AtoZ Sports:

2023: $1.5 million fully guaranteed; cap hit $3.16 million

2024: $3 million ($1 million guaranteed); cap hit $4.75 million

Vander Esch signed a one-year deal in 2022 after his fifth-year option was turned down the year before. His 90 tackles (second on the team) in 14 games is what got him to be retained.
