Aaron Rodgers is still a member of the Green Bay Packers, but that won't be the case for long.

Rodgers revealed on Wednesday during an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show that he's planning to play with the New York Jets in 2023.

Green Bay and New York still have to work out a trade before Rodgers can become a Jet.

At least one of Rodgers' former teammates will be joining him on Broadway.

The Jets agreed to a four-year deal with former Packers wide receiver Allen Lazard this week.

Other former Green Bay players, including Randall Cobb and Marcedes Lewis, could also team up with Rodgers in New York (former Packers running back Jamaal Williams, who likely won't return to the Detroit Lions in 2023, could also be an option for the Jets).

One Rodgers favorite who isn't expected to head to The Big Apple is Green Bay offensive lineman David Bakhtiari, who recently had his contract with the Packers restructured.

It's possible that Bakhtiari could be part of a trade that sends Rodgers to the Jets, but Sports Illustrated's Packer Central reported last week that the veteran offensive lineman is expected to play in Green Bay in 2023.

Bakhtiari, however, could ask to join Rodgers in New York. While there's nothing that indicates that he'll make that request, we do know he's sad about Rodgers leaving town.

I imagine a lot of folks in Wisconsin feel that way today. There's no doubt it's the end of an era. But the end of the last era brought a Super Bowl to Green Bay rather quickly. Perhaps the same will be true this time around.
