We're not even two months removed from the Super Bowl but the page has long been turned for all 32 NFL franchises.

And while free agency is just wrapping up and the draft is fast approaching, Vegas is wasting no time, already releasing early win totals for every NFL franchise.

Per DraftKings Sportsbook, we have our first preview of what the odds-makers think, and Steelers fans won't appreciate what the sharps have cooking.

Seeing as Pittsburgh comes in at only 8.5 wins, Vegas obviously is pessimistic on the the Steel city.

8.5 wins is under the threshold for a winning season, given there are 17 games in an NFL season now.

So despite a history of winning seasons, some still believe Tomlin and the Steelers won't continue the streak.

And I know that many Pittsburgh fans could care less about some winning season streak, especially given the standards that surround the franchise.

Here's the thing though, If Pittsburgh managed to win nine games last season, starting multiple quarterbacks, dealing with underwhelming play on the offensive line, and losing their best player in T.J Watt for the majority of the season, what makes you think they wont be better in 2023?

I understand that there's a lot of "what if's" or maybe even excuses to some in the above paragraph, but guess what, a lot of games in the NFL come down to one score games.

Everything from the bounce of the ball, to the direction of the breeze, can have major influence, making every win in the NFL tough to come by.

My point is, last year was the Steelers rebuilding year, and they outperformed expectations.

And even the most blind of Steeler fans shouldn't envision this team atop the AFC, competing with the Bills and Chiefs of the world.

But this team is now ascending. No longer do they have a rookie quarterback, the offensive line has been upgraded in free agency and the veteran leadership is notable on defense.

There are real questions about the secondary and left tackle, but those can soon be answered in the NFL Draft.

I certainly could be off here, but it feels like last year was the year to end the winning season mark, that was the time for the league to get the Steelers.

That time has passed, and now this win total will just make a young and hungry group even more motivated.
