The son of a Tennessee Vols football legend is entering the NCAA transfer portal.

Kaden Martin, the son of former Vols quarterback Tee Martin, posted on social media on Tuesday that he's entering the portal.

Martin was a true freshman outfielder for the Miami Hurricanes baseball team this past season.

Martin, who played at Knoxville Catholic before transferring to Buford High School in Georgia, played in just two games for Miami this past season per the Hurricanes' official website.

The lefthander went 0-for-2 against Virginia Tech and 0-for-1 against Presbyterian.

Martin, who was also a three-star quarterback coming out of high school, is likely looking for more playing time. He was viewed as a top 75 MLB draft prospect in early 2021, so the talent is certainly there for him to make an impact on the diamond.

As for where Martin will land? I'm sure Tennessee will be mentioned, but I'd keep an eye on programs close to Baltimore, too. Tee Martin is currently an assistant coach with the Baltimore Ravens and it wouldn't be a surprise if Kaden moves a little closer to his family. Clemson, where Martin's brother Amari Rodgers played college football, could also be a potential option.
