The Denver Broncos added another player to the roster during their OTAs.
This is the time of the year when players the casual fan doesn't know, make their team. Whether it be undrafted free agent rookies, journeymen, or even veterans that have seen some snaps in the league but have always been backups – this is where teams find gems.
I'm by no means saying this is what the Broncos just did because we simply don't know it yet, but they did sign a guy not a lot of people know about. On Wednesday, the Broncos signed former Tennessee Titans tight end Tommy Hudson, per Mike Klis, and some clips show him as a guy Broncos fans could end up loving as a guy on their team.
The tight end room is one that could be improved, and Hudson could do that. He was at rookie minicamp as a "veteran" even though he doesn't meet the accrued years' requirement, and ended up making the team. Obviously, Sean Payton and company liked something they saw.
Hudson is 6'5", 255 pounds, which is the perfect size for the type of tight end Payton likes in his system – guys who can block in the run game, and he can certainly do a little bit of that based on what we did see in 2021, as well as a little bit of pass blocking too.
I think Broncos fans will love this guy based on some of the tape he does have.
