After four years with the Las Vegas Raiders, former Raider tight end Foster Moreau is heading closer to home.

Per ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, Moreau's agency, JL Sports, said the tight end agreed to a three-year, $12 million contract with the New Orleans Saints just two months after his cancer diagnosis of Hodgkin lymphoma.

Back on the April 14 episode of Good Morning America, Moreau explained the context of the diagnosis of his cancer, and it was more assuring than it would have been expected.

"It's at Stage 2, so it's spread from the initial location. But it appears to be a slow spread, and we should be able to get rid of all of it," he said then.

Moreau's status for the upcoming season is still uncertain. But given the multiyear contract the Saints forked over, it is a good indication that his treatment is going relatively well.

Moreau's college ball at LSU. He appeared in 30 games over four seasons with the Tigers from 2015 through 2018. He caught 52 passes for 629 yards, and six touchdowns.

The signing with the Saints makes sense within the context of Moreau's history and tie to New Orleans. During Moreau's run with the Raiders, he played behind Darren Waller. He played in 61 games and made 34 starts.

Moreau joined Derek Carr in New Orleans, and it should make for an interesting run in the 2023 season.
