The Bills Mafia gave back to someone in need, does that sound familiar?

Buffalo is known as the city of good neighbors and the Bills Mafia embody that statement. From donating hundreds of thousands to an opposing quarterback throwing a touchdown to break the drought, to over $1M being donated to a local hospital for Josh Allen, to Damar Hamlin's toy drive shattering their goal within hours, there are endless stories of the Bills Mafia's charitable contributions.

Jim Nantz, legendary broadcaster, spoke with Josh Allen and Von Miller at Oak Hill for the PGA Championship. What he said about the Buffalo Bills and Bills Mafia is something the fanbase should be proud of.

Nantz tragically lost his mother before the Buffalo Bills game against the Pittsburgh Steelers last year. The broadcaster opened up about what happened immediately after and how Josh Allen and the Bills Mafia made a lasting impression.

Nantz started with a statement all of the Bills Mafia can get behind, "The Bills are the best." He continued, "I lost my mom during the season…This guy (Josh Allen) reached out to me, on his own."

Allen knows all too well what the city of Buffalo and the Bills Mafia can do after tragedy strikes. The franchise quarterback opened up to the city after his grandmother's tragic passing which resulted in over $1M dollars being donated to a local hospital in her honor. It wasn't about the money, but rather the city letting Allen know that they were with him. While we don't know the specifics of what Allen told Nantz, we can assume it was something similar.

Nantz continued on, discussing what others did for him before the Pittsburgh Steelers game. Specifically, what the Bills Mafia did that changed his life forever. “And then the Bills Mafia…,” started Nantz. “We have an Alzheimer’s research institute named for my father in Houston which is doing some groundbreaking things. The Nantz Center, which is named for my dad, was inundated with donations from the Bills Mafia. People would send big donations, big and small, and all said the same thing. ‘The Bills Mafia, thank you. God bless you, Jim. We remember your mom."

The broadcaster made the announcement that Buffalo had been the only team in the NFL to do so and that it wasn't just a few fans who partook in the charitable giving. "The only team in the NFL. It wasn't a handful of people. It was like well, well over 100 people… Never forget that."

Nantz ended with a shoutout to Josh Allen and Von Miller, highlighting that this is what the city and the team are all about.

This isn't the first, and won't be the last, time that the Bills Mafia and the organization have given back when tragedy strikes. The Bills Mafia is so much more than jumping through tables and 4 straight Super Bowls losses, they are the lifeblood of a city that constantly and ferociously gives back and stands tall in the face of adversity.

Kudos, Bills Mafia.
