New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick must have liked the progress his team showed in their first two organized team activities sessions of the spring.
The Patriots canceled their third session of the Week that was scheduled for May 25. That was going to be the first open practice with access granted to media. So, fans anticipating updates in the form of practice reports will need to wait.
New England’s next OTAs session is now scheduled for May 31. Reporters will be on hand for the session, schedule permitting.
Media initially would be granted access to three sessions on May 25, June 2 and June 8. Now reporters will be on hand May 31 and June 6. The Patriots will also hold OTA days on June 2, 5, 8 and 9, but those sessions will be closed to the media. Teams are required to open every third practice to reporters.
The media will be on hand for all three days of mandatory minicamp from June 12-14. The Patriots have canceled minicamp sessions in the past, however.
New England doesn't open rookie minicamp to reporters, so these sessions will be the media's first chance to see the team in action since the 2022 season.
