The Dallas Cowboys have made some moves this offseason to bolster positions of need. That includes the defensive backfield, where the team traded for veteran corner Stephon Gilmore ahead of the NFL Draft.

Gilmore provides the Cowboys with a proven playmaker in the backend of the defense opposite of Trevon Diggs. When you add in DaRon Bland and the safeties, Dallas has real talent and depth. Yet, the team is still making moves.

The latest move comes in the form of a potential position change. Cornerback Kelvin Joseph was seen getting a lot of work in with the safeties during OTAs on Thursday.

Joseph has not had the best start to his career with the Cowboys since being drafted in the second-round a couple of short offseasons ago. He has struggled mightily in coverage, but he's been a quality player on special teams.

In hopes of turning things around, Joseph is moving around in the secondary. He practiced at safety and nickel during practice on Thursday. And he reportedly turned in a strong day in front of the media.

Perhaps this is what Joseph needs to revive his career with the Cowboys. It has been obvious that he was not playing with much confidence at corner. Therefore, a change of scenery in the defense could be just what the doctor ordered.

Furthermore, it's worth nothing that Joseph was ranked as a four-star safety prospect coming out of high school. Which means that he has a background at the position and very well could be more comfortable in that type of role.

Regardless, there is no doubt that the upcoming season is a big one for Kelvin Joseph as he enters his third season in the NFL. The Dallas Cowboys are banking on a position change being just what he has needed to take off.
