With OTAs on the horizon, the Jacksonville Jaguars are signing wide receiver Jacob Harris, per KPRC2's Aaron Wilson. After spending the weekend on the team's rookie minicamp, Harris is staying around a while longer.

Harris, a Super Bowl champion with the 2021 L.A. Rams, has had an interesting start to his career. After arriving at the NFL as a fourth-round draft pick, Harris' athletic traits made him look like a project with a ton of upside.

The Rams even tried to convert him to tight end for a short time before making him a wideout again in 2022.

Despite the Harris project coming to an end in L.A., the Jaguars are getting an athlete who played a lot of special teams snaps for the Rams when healthy. In the games he played (he did miss time in back-to-back seasons to start his career), Harris averaged a 58% snap count on special teams.

That's Harris' most likely way to make an impact as a Jaguar. He only has one career target in 16 games played. However, it will likely be an uphill battle as the team's wide receiver room is starting to look a bit crowded.

One does have to wonder if Harris will be getting a shot as a tight end for the Jaguars, though. It's worth noting that he tried out as a wide receiver in rookie minicamp, per Jaguar Report's John Shipley.

But HC Doug Pederson does love his tight ends. He'll make for an interesting storyline when OTAs kick off on May 22nd.
