Chicago Bears general manager Ryan Poles is attacking one critical offseason task.

The Bears walked away from the 2023 NFL Draft with a total of 10 new draftees. And after Monday’s news, seven of those draft picks have been signed to their rookie deals.

Darnell Wright, Zacch Pickens and Tyler Scott were the three players most recently locked up by Poles and the Bears and contract details are finally beginning to emerge.

While Wright cashed in on his lucrative rookie contract, Pickens certainly had his pockets fattened as well. The South Carolina product signed a four-year deal worth $5,763,791 with the Bears, including a $1,191,848 signing bonus and 2,203,838 in total guarantees. His 2023 cap hit is just north of $1 million, according to Spotrac.

Drafted in the third round, Pickens was one of three interior defensive linemen to be selected by Chicago joining Gervon Dexter Sr. (second round) and Travis Bell (seventh round).

Poles’ attention now turns to the three draft picks who are currently without their rookie deals. Dexter falls into that category, along with second-round pick CB Tyrique Stevenson and RB Roschon Johnson.
