Saquon Barkley has made his stance on the New York Giants contract offer clear.

The star running back and the Giants failed to meet the Monday deadline for a long-term contract extension, with Barkley now considering sitting out for the season.

And his latest move leaves many speculating if his time in New York may have come to an end.

Barley removed "Giants" from his social media biography after he said he "might have to" sit out for the season during an appearance on "The Money Matters" podcast.

"My leverage is I could say, 'F— you' to the Giants, I could say, 'F— you to my teammates," Barkley said on the podcast. "And be like, 'You want me to show you my worth? You want me to show you how valuable I am to the team? I won't show up. I won't play a down.' And that's a play I could use."

"Anybody [who] knows me, knows that's not something I want to do. Is it something that's crossed my mind? I never thought I would ever do that, but now I'm at a point where I'm like, 'Jesus, I might have to take it to this level.' Am I prepared to take it to this level? I don't know."

The Giants latest offer to Barkley reportedly included $19.5 million guaranteed, with one agent saying that "no deal to be done that low."

Just six minutes before the 4 p.m. EST deadline, Barkley tweeted, "It is what it is," and removing the team name from his bio shows how dissatisfied he truly is with the current offer.

Barkley has received a lot of support form fellow players (current and former) across the league including teammate Darius SlaytonNew England Patriots legend Julian Edelman, Tennessee Titans' Derrick Henry, Pittsburgh Steelers' Najee Harris, Los Angeles Charges' Austin Ekeler, San Francisco 49ers' Christian McCaffery, and Indianapolis Colts' Jonathan Taylor.

In a world dominated by social media, Barkley had to know that this move would get people's attention.
