The Seattle Seahawks didn't get much recognition for their receiving corps until one NFL analyst placed them in the top five.

The Seahawks team got little national recognition from the media overall last season. Not just for their receivers or pass-catchers, but just as a team who defied all odds; it seemed only a few looked their way.

Now, they put people on notice. Sure, they got beat pretty badly by their division rival in the playoffs, but they made the postseason when no one thought they would. Now, a lot more people are on notice. Now, many more people are seeing that the Seahawks have one of the best pass-catching units in the league' one NFL analyst ranked them top-five.

5. SEATTLE SEAHAWKS I mentioned the Bengals having the best receiver trio in the league, but Seattle might not be far behind. D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett combined for 190 catches for 2,256 receiving yards a season ago, with both players grading above 77.0. Now, they'll add first-round receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who recorded a 92.1 receiving grade and exceeded 1,600 receiving yards as just a true sophomore at Ohio State in 2022. – Trevor Sikkema, PFF

Obviously, D.K. Metcalf is the headliner of the group. He's a mammoth of a man, and there really isn't anything he can't do. Do you need him to run every route in the tree? Check. Do you need him to be an endzone threat? Check. Do you need him to show enough speed that he could hawk down a defensive player to stop them from getting a pick-six? Check.

Then the Seahawks drafted the best receiver in the entire 2023 rookie class with one of their first-round picks. Jaxon Smith-Njigba is a guy who can be really, really good in his rookie year. Let's remember everything Tyler Lockett brings to the table, as he has been doing for the last half-decade.

One reason I think people forget to mention the Seahawks in the "best pass catchers" conversation, and especially toward the top five, is because they forget that the Seahawks will now have two running backs who can run and catch the ball well in Kenneth Murray, a guy who could have won Offensive Rookie of the Year, and now Zach Charbonnet.

The Seahawks will once again have a dynamic offense, and they are able to have said the offense because of all the pass catchers they have on this team—top five sounds right to me. However, there are a lot of people who wouldn't put them there.
