Denver Broncos offensive line

The Denver Broncos' offensive line has improved more than any other unit this offseason.

This was the worst offensive line in football last season. I don't care where any rankings list had them last season; they were the worst. But, with all of the moves they made so far during the 2023 off-season, they are easily better, and we haven't even seen them play a single snap together.

This new lineup is one that has the potential to be one of the best in the league if all goes well. They have to stay healthy first, something they have struggled with as a team for the last five or so years. And they have to buy into Sean Payton's offensive scheme.

If they do those two things, they can be much better as a unit than last year.

Projected Starting Lineup

LT Garett Bolles
LG Ben Powers
C Lloyd Cushenberry III
RG Quinn Meinerz
RT Mike McGlinchey

The hiring of Sean Payton this offseason came with a clear focus on improving an offensive line that was never quite as bad as it looked in 2022. Denver's line ranked 20th on the season in PFF pass-blocking efficiency, but Russell Wilson was the second-worst quarterback in the league at converting pressure into sacks, warping the view of the line's performance. – Sam Monson, PFF

The Broncos allowed 61 sacks last season, the worst in the league. They allowed Russell Wilson to be sacked 55 times, breaking the franchise record for sacks allowed to one quarterback in a season. They were that bad.

Adding Ben Powers, one of the better-left guards in the league, will certainly help. In almost 600 pass-blocking snaps, he allowed just 12 pressures, which is elite. Mike McGlinchey was crucial to the San Francisco 49ers' offensive line the last few years.

I can easily see them having the 11th-best offensive line in the league, which will go a long way to rebuilding this team and getting them back to winning football.
