It is evident that the Seattle Seahawks understand the recipe for success — defense.
So, naturally, it makes sense why the organization has invested in Tariq Woolen, Jamal Adams, Julian Love, 2023 first-round pick Devon Witherspoon, and of course Quandre Diggs.
With the collection of new and old names, it is easy to assume there will be a struggle regarding who will be the leader of the secondary. But recently, Diggs, who has been the leader of the Seahawks' defense since being traded to Seattle in 2019, wants everyone to know that he is still the player he has always been.
"Safe to say, I'm still that guy," Diggs wrote on Twitter. "Sometimes you got to remind yourself and everybody else!"
Diggs is the heart and soul of the Seahawks' defense. In many ways, he has been the emotional leader and heartbeat behind a unit that has outplayed much of its expectations in recent years.
Despite the slow start last season, to his standards, Diggs has found a way to be a consistent contributor. And now he is merely reminding the world that he is still just as good as he knows he is. That is scary for the rest of the league, for sure.
