The Tennessee Vols will assuredly be active in the transfer portal once again on the diamond. Tony Vitello has gotten plenty of impactful talent from the portal in past seasons, including Chase Dollander and Zane Denton. The list could go on and on. Vitello could add another very intriguing infielder during this offseason via the portal.
Clemson infielder Billy Amick is visiting Tennessee today. He would be a major addition for the Vols after batting .413 with 13 home runs and 63 RBI this season for the Tigers. He played 1B/DH a majority of the time for Clemson, but he has experience at 3B as well.
The Vols went and grabbed Denton as a corner infielder during last offseason. He was one of their most impactful and energetic players this season. Could they do the same with the slugging Amick?
It would make plenty of sense. Keep an eye on his name.
