The New Orleans Saints can count on one thing every season, linebacker Demario Davis is going to produce at a high level. 

Since he arrived in New Orleans in 2018, Davis hasn't registered under 105 tackles, and he's helped the Saints' defense establish itself as one of the best units of its kind in the NFL.

Davis has also seen his name shoot up the board at his position over the years as ESPN ranked him the No.6 off-ball linebacker in the league, placing him between Devin White of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Shaquille Leonard of the Indianapolis Colts. 

After another 100-tackle season and a fourth consecutive All-Pro nod, Davis also recorded a career-high 6.5 sacks in 2022.

"He's awesome," an NFC exec said. "He seems to be somehow getting better. We hate playing against him."

Davis was not considered a marquee player in his first six seasons in the league but has thrived in New Orleans since 2018.

"He's become a better all-around player each year in that [Saints] scheme and how he's deployed," an NFC scout said. "You see a lot of similarly gifted athletes struggle at LB, especially when drafted high and are asked to be immediately productive, but he had time to figure it out and his game took off." –Jeremy Fowler, ESPN 

Davis isn't just a tackling machine against the run with his sideline-to-sideline prowess, but he gets after the quarterback as well with 36 career sacks. His 6.5 in 2022 was the most he's tallied in one season and his 85.9 pass-rush grade was his highest mark to date.

Just like a fine wine, Davis seems to get even better the more he plays, and if the Saints can get keep getting adequate play on their defensive line for the foreseeable future, he shouldn't slow down any time soon.
