The Patriots are in need of a deciding factor on the offense and they might look towards one seventh season veteran.

ESPN released rankings for different positions across the league, surveying "league executives, coaches, scouts, and players," along with looking at interviews and reviewing film.

And while he didn't earn a spot in the Top 10, Henry was given an honorable mention among the top tight ends in the league.

"Not much has changed with his game — he's still a big, trusted target with good hands," an AFC coordinator said. "He's just been in a so-so offense the last two years."

So-so offense is certainly one way to describe the Patriots during the last two years, with last year's offensive coordinator experiment turning out to be an epic fail. Yet, Henry still led all Patriots tight ends in yards (509) and yards after catch (203).

Out of Arkansas, Henry was drafted by the Los Angeles (formerly San Diego) Chargers in the second round, 35th overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.

He spent fives seasons with the Chargers, but missed the entirety of the 2018 season due to a torn ACL. Throughout his time in Los Angeles, he finished with 196 receptions for 2,322 total yards and 21 touchdowns across 55 games.

In 2021, Henry signed a three-year deal with the Patriots and over the last two seasons, he has had 91 receptions for 1,112 yards and 11 touchdowns.

While Henry earned an honorable mention, fellow New England tight end Mike Gesicki also received votes.
