The Green Bay Packers have the No. 15 overall selection in the 2023 NFL Draft.
Green Bay should be able to land an impact player at No. 15, but it's tough to predict who will be available when the Packers make their first selection.
We've heard plenty of rumors and rumblings about how the first round of the draft could play out. But ultimately, it's impossible to predict what teams will actually do on draft night. It seems like there are always a few curveballs.
The latest mock draft from NFL.com has the Packers selecting an offensive lineman at No. 15.
NFL Network host Rhett Lewis has Green Bay drafting Georgia offensive lineman Broderick Jones in the first round.
From NFL.com: Feels like the Patriots also could've gone this route at No. 14. With Jones still on the board and the Packers' recent string of unfortunate injuries to key pieces along the offensive line, the athletic Georgia bookend gives Green Bay some piece of mind as Jordan Love prepares to take the reins.
Jones is impressive physically, but he has bust written all over him.
A to Z Sports film analyst James Foster, one of the more well-respected film analysts in the business, recently broke down Jones' game.
And his breakdown revealed some issues that should scare Green Bay away from Jones.
Specifically, Jones hits the ground way too often — several times a game — which leads to negative run plays. Foster also pointed out that Jones was asked to block in space a lot, something he won't be asked to do in the NFL.
Check out the breakdown below, which includes some issues that Foster thinks will be tough for Jones to fix in the NFL.
The Packers need to look elsewhere in the first round. Tennessee Vols offensive lineman Darnell Wright could be a better option for Green Bay — if he falls to No. 15.
Green Bay could also look to trade back and load up on more draft picks.
