The New Orleans Saints have had their fair share of prospects mocked to them in the first round of mock drafts.

From wide receivers, to offensive linemen, to defensive linemen, it's been extensive.

A recent mock draft from NFL.com's Rhett Lewis changed the dynamic in the first round for them.

With the 29th overall pick, the Saints snagged Georgia tight end Darnell Washington.

Interior offensive line feels like a possibility here with O'Cyrus Torrence and the top centers still on the board, but Washington is often affectionately referred to as a sixth offensive lineman in the run game, so that kind of counts, right? I think his ability as a dominant blocker also overshadows his talents as a receiver, which might blossom down in New Orleans with Derek Carr now running the offense. — Lewis

Washington is a polarizing prospect.

He didn't have too much receiving production with the Bulldogs, but he proved that his ability after the catch is really impressive. The TE won two national championships with Georgia, too.

On the blocking side, Washington is arguably the best blocking tight end in this class.

His upside is inarguable.

At 6'7" and 265 pounds, his frame can be dominant even at the pro level. Not many players move like he does at that size.

A duo of Washington and Juwan Johnson would make a ton of sense for the Saints. Johnson is an improving receiving option that had a breakout season a year ago. He's arguably their best target in the red zone right now, too.

Adding Washington to the offense would make the unit better in every facet.
