The Las Vegas Raiders have 12 picks in this upcoming draft, and while they may not select 12 players in this draft, we can assume that they will be very busy come April 27.
All the talk surrounding the Raiders has been about the first pick, the seventh overall pick, where no one really knows what they are going to do. There are rumors of them interested in taking a quarterback, even after signing Jimmy Garoppolo, but they could also go defense, their biggest need.
But no one seems to be talking about the 11 other picks they have and what will happen. We would like to think that the Raiders would focus on defense for the rest of the draft, but of course, we never know what they will do.
Pro Football Focus actually named the best, or perfect I should say, day two fit for the Raiders, and it wasn't a defense. In fact, it was to help fix some of the offensive line issues they had last season. Here is who they had:
LAS VEGAS RAIDERS: OG O’CYRUS TORRENCE, FLORIDA
The missing link on the Raiders' offensive line comes at right guard. That position is where Torrence earned himself a cool 88.0 overall grade and allowed only eight hurries this past season.
Torrence had a pretty good college career, and last year he was tasked with protecting Anthony Richardson on a bad team at Florida. He did well, as he didn't allow a single sack. In fact, he didn't allow a sack his entire college career.
Torrence is a guard, and can't play tackle, so the versatility isn't there. But he is very good at what he does. The Raiders need offensive line help as they build around Kolton Miller and Dylan Parham up front. Torrence would be the perfect fit.
