Though at dramatically different times in the season, Jamal Adams and Jordyn Brooks found themselves on the injured list with ailments that would cost them the rest of their 2022 NFL campaign.

Adams tore his quadriceps tendon in Week 1 of the season, meanwhile, Brooks tore his ACL in Week 17.

Now, both players find themselves in the rehab and recovery process, but Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll revealed during his pre-draft press conference that he believes both are making good progress and the plan is for them to be available come training camp.

"They're doing well," Carroll said. "The progress is being made. I think it's this week that we're meeting with them to make sure that they're making progress, but everything's going fine so far. They're very optimistic on their sides, they're really thinking that they're going to make it, so we'll hold a good thought."

He added: They're not resigned to the fact that it's going to take them past that, so they've got the right mindset. We'll see what happens."

Having both players ready for training camp is the goal. But it isn't a guarantee. Carroll is aware that the medical staff will ultimately have the final say on whether they are ready to go. And Seattle is preparing for a scenario where it wouldn't have both players to start the season.

"We'll be conservative through that timeframe to make sure that we don't screw it up by hurrying them along, but I'm wide open to it that they think they can do it, so we'll see what happens," Carroll said.

The last injury news of the day came with an update to tight end Will Dissly. He finished his season on injured reserve with what was described as an "unusual knee injury."

Since then, per Carroll, Dissly is doing well.

"Will's doing well at this time," he said. "There were some questions marks in that process for him, whether they were going to have to do surgery after they gave him a chance to recover. He's recovered, so there's no surgery in the near future."

Good health is never a promise. But it seems like the health train is getting back on the tracks for the Seahawks just in time for a full offseason program.
