Bears should sign three-time pro bowler to fix the pass rush

The team only got to the quarterback 20 times on the season. For reference, Nick Bosa of the 49ers collected 18.5 sacks on his own.
Interestingly, the Bears have not done much to address this issue so far this offseason. However, there is one free agent still on the market who could completely transform the unit.
Frank Clark is still a free agent after being released by the Kansas City Chiefs at the beginning of March.
Clark was released for cap reasons and not performance-related reasons. Clark has made three pro bowls and has had double-digit sacks in two seasons. In 2022, Clark collected 39 tackles, five sacks, and 13 quarterback hits.
Clark continues to get high marks from PFF, and will only be 30-years-old when the 2023 season begins.
Currently, the Bears' starting defensive ends are Trevis Gipson and Dominique Robinson. Gipson and Robinson have just 11.5 career sacks between them.
According to Spotrac, Clark is projected to get $12.4M per year. The Bears currently have around $37M in cap space, which is the most of any team in the league. Needless to say, money isn't an issue.
Also, there is some smoke to this scenario. Adam Jahns of The Athletic notes that the Bears indeed pursued the top defensive ends in the 2023 free agent class, including Javon Hargrave and Zach Allen.
With Allen and Hargrave off the board, Clark is the top edge rusher. If Ryan Poles wants to improve the pass rush, Clark just might be the best remaining option.
