It seems like the only people on the planet that know the Detroit Lions had good quarterback play in 2022 live in Detroit.

The disrespect to Goff has been terrible since he arrived in Detroit, and it makes it all the more confusing that he is coming off a great campaign that made a case as one of the ten best QBs in the league.

So no, people shouldn't bet on the Lions adding former MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson.

Jackson is a Hell of a player and is better than Goff when healthy, but expecting Jackson to stay healthy at this point is a lot to ask, and it is also hard to ask a new quarterback to look way better than Goff did last season.

Goff's 4,438 passing yards and 29 touchdowns against just seven interceptions on a team that should've made the playoffs wasn't good enough? The quarterback position was really what held that team back?

The answer to that is obviously no, but that isn't stopping the oddsmakers from making Detroit one of the prime landing spots for Lamar Jackson.

SportsBetting.ag currently has the Lions tied with the Falcons with the second-best odds in the league to land Jackson at 4-1.

It makes sense why this is there for Detroit; they are doing everything in their power to bring in as much talent as possible to win get back into the playoffs and make a run.

Still, this team has done enough to commit to Goff that it should change these odds a little.

Plus, why give up two first round picks and the money for Jackson when you can keep Goff at his current price and add two first-round picks to this roster?

It just doesn't make sense.

This writer isn't putting any money down on seeing Jackson leading the offense for Detroit in 2023.
