The NFL is a business. We all know it. Unfortunately, that can come at the cost of some smart decisions. At times, the league can push their luck a bit too far. This past week, news surfaced that the NFL wanted to increase potential "flexing" on schedules for teams.

That means moving games to different days, times, etc.

In particular, Thursday night flexing was on the table. This would have been a staunch change for player safety as playing on a Thursday is much different on the human body in comparison to playing on a Sunday or Monday following the game from the week before.

Luckily, teams voted "no" often enough for the topic to be set aside – for now, at least. The New York giants were one of those teams.

According to reports, it will be revisited in May meetings among NFL representatives.

It will be interesting to see where the topic goes when they discuss it again in May.

Hopefully, the same outcome occurs because the potential of more injuries should always outweigh the money factor for the NFL.
