There are enough former Tennessee Vols players in the NFL currently that it's highly likely that a couple of former teammates will be reunited after the 2023 NFL Draft.

In fact, that's exactly what NFL.com thinks will happen in their latest seven-round mock draft.

Chad Reuter, a draft analyst for NFL.com, has a couple of former Vols teammates reuniting with the Carolina Panthers.

Reuter's latest mock draft has the Panthers selecting former Tennessee offensive lineman Wanya Morris with the No. 114 selection (Round 4) in the draft. Morris played the first two seasons of his collegiate career at UT before transferring to Oklahoma for his final two seasons.

Morris, a former five-star recruit who signed with Tennessee during the 2019 recruiting cycle, started 17 games at left tackle for the Vols during his two seasons on Rocky Top. The Georgia native also saw some time at right tackle during his time at Tennessee.

While I'm sure plenty of UT fans won't "claim" Morris as a former Vol, it's worth pointing out that Morris, despite finishing his career with the Sooners, still made sure to rep the Power T at the Senior Bowl earlier this offseason.

If Morris is selected by the Panthers, he'll be reunited with his former Tennessee teammate Cade Mays. The two offensive linemen played together in Knoxville during the COVID impacted 2020 season. Mays was drafted by the Panthers in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft.
